Here's how they work:

When airborne contaminants enter the Biozone unit, they are channeled into an Air Purification Chamber. There, they are immediately exposed to high intensity ultraviolet light that kills a wide range of bacteria, viruses, and molds, and helps break down unhealthy gases and vapors. 

In the Air Purification Chamber, contaminants are also exposed to chemically active oxygen atoms in the form of photolic ozone, triple oxygen atoms, and single oxygen atoms. These are also extremely effective at destroying bacteria, viruses, mold, and breaking down unhealthy fumes from such things as tobacco smoke and cleaning chemicals. These purifying agents also neutralize unpleasant odors.

Harmful organic contaminants are quickly oxidized inside the Biozone Purification Chamber by powerful Purifying Hydroxyls which are formed from oxygen and hydrogen atoms from normal atmospheric humidity.

Inside the Purification Chamber particles such as dust and smoke are removed from the air by means of a process known as photoionization, where the particles are electrically charged with photoelectrons emitted by the unit's photoionic accelerator.

The "ultra-pure" air is blown back into the room - carrying with it chemically active oxygen atoms, purifying hydroxyls, and photoelectrons. Unlike other air purifiers, harmful contaminants do not have to be brought into the air purifier to be eliminated. How does Ozone affect my health?

How does Ultraviolet Light affect my health?

It has been established that UV light will destroy the viruses, bacteria, and fungi in air passing in its path. The Biozone Air Purifiers use a high intensity germicidal ultraviolet lamp with a high purity fused quartz glass for maximum output. Certain wavelengths of the UV lamp also destroy excessive ozone molecules, keeping the systems safe and in balance. How do Negative Ions affect my health?

Ions are natural particles floating in the air around us all the time that have either a positive or negative charge. It is known in science that ion depletion is the source of a wide range of human health problems, both mental and physical. Air ions are important to you because if there are a high proportion of negative ions you will feel lively, uplifted, and enthusiastic. Too many positive ions will have you feeling depressed, lethargic and full of aches, pains and complaints.

Fortunately through modern technology it is possible to control the electrical state of our indoor environments by generating negative ions back in the air. These negative ions attach themselves to airborne toxins/particles such as dust, pollen, smoke and dander and drop them from the air. Ions basically take out the larger pollutants in the air. BIOZONE Limited Warranty

What is covered: All parts defective in material and workmanship.

For how long: Three years from the purchase date.

What Biozone will do: Repair or replace any defective parts.

What you must do:
Contact Peak Pure Air through our Contact Us page or call us toll free at 1-866-253-1746, 8-4 central, M-F for a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA#) and return procedures. Upon issuing a RMA# you will be given a ship to address to return the purifier for repair. Once received at Biozone they will repair or replace the purifier and return ship it to you.

Replacement Parts/Maintenance:
Use of parts other than those supplied by the original manufacturer will void warranty. Contact manufacturer for replacement of any components.

Replace the lamp on your Biozone Air Purifier once every 12 months. If operating the unit in a dusty or smoky environment, periodically open the unit to ensure that the lamp is not coated. (Unplug unit before performing this or any other unit maintenance). Clean the lamp with a soft cloth with rubbing alcohol. If the lamp burns out completely, it usually blows the fuse which will need to be replaced.

Other conditions:

The provisions of this warranty are in lieu of any other written warranty, whether express or implied, written or oral, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The manufacturer’s maximum liability shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid by you for the product. In no event shall the manufacturer be liable for special, incidental, consequential, or indirect damages. This warranty does not cover a defect that resulted from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, accident, improper packing, or unauthorized tampering, alteration, or modification as determined solely by Biozone Scientific. This warranty is void if the label bearing the serial number has been removed or defaced.
